<p>In January, Jezebel offered a $10,000 bounty to obtain un-retouched images from filmmaker Lena Dunham's Vogue cover shoot. Within two hours, they received and published the photos.</p><p>Jezebel's article pointed to aspects of Dunham's physique Vogue had altered: "neck thinned and brought in," "hips pulled in," "neckline brought up." But even Jezebel admitted the photos hadn't changed much not like Kate Winslet's plasticized skin or Keira Knightley's swelled chest.</p><p>Dunham was not impressed. The media responded: You offered to pay $10,000 for this?</p><p>The term "Photoshopping" (the verb) has become synonymous with the act of digitally retouching or manipulating a photograph. It's often used unfavorably, for example, while browsing Facebook: "Oh, that pic was definitely Photoshopped.
