<p>Before Texans fans can take their seats at Reliant Stadium, they'll have to follow new restrictions for what they can bring to the game. (Smiley N. Pool/Chronicle)</p><p>The Texans have announced new restrictions on the size and types of bags fans may bring into Reliant Stadium this fall.</p><p>According to guidelines that were unanimously recommended by the NFL Committee on Stadium Security in May, only clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags not exceeding 12 inches by six inches by 12 inches or clear plastic freezer bags up to one gallon in size will be permitted in the stadium proper, outside plazas or when approaching queue lines beyond the gates.</p><p>Small clutch bags that are approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap, may also be brought into the stadium along with one of the aforementioned confirming bags.
