
<p>Firefighters in Canon City have a fire at a small apartment under control.</p><p>The fire started Sunday morning around 7 a.m. at a three-unit building on the 200 block of Greenwood Avenue. The structure was originally thought to be a duplex, but the Canon City Fire District says that upon arrival it was learned that there were three units, not two.</p><p>Firefighters are now in "salvage and overhaul mode," a spokesman with the fire district said, meaning firefighters are going through the building covering up property that can still be salvaged, and checking walls and ceiling to make sure there is no additional fire.</p><p>One apartment has "extensive damage."
