
<p>Richard Hickman was the boy who grew up by the Susquehanna River and stayed close to its waters for the rest of his life.</p><p>Hickman, who owned Long Level Marina and did river rescue, died Tuesday, March 4, at his home in Wrightsville. He was 68.</p><p>His wife, Melinda Hickman, said he died of brain cancer, which he battled since November 2011.</p><p>Richard Hickman, a former Lake Clarke Rescue member and commodore, was a leader who challenged himself to learn new things, she said.</p><p><a href="http://www.yorkdispatch.com/breaking/ci_25317850/richard-hickman-long-level-marina-owner-dies">Keep reading...</a></p>
