It has been previously claimed that Sony is on the brink of announcing the A3000, a 20.1-megapixel E-mount compact system camera, and now there is photographic evidence to suggest that it is already out there in the wild.

DukeofDutch posted two pictures on forum Dyxum.com of an unknown Sony camera he spotted someone using during a photography trip. It has since been claimed around the net that the DSLR-looking device is none other than the formerly rumoured Sony A3000, so while it has a DSLR-like body, it is in fact a CSC, and one that comes in at the rather reasonable price point of 300.

Another clue to suggest that the pictures are bone fide is that the person shown in one of them looks very much like Gustav Kiburg, a Sony Alpha Advocate Photographer.

Other previously touted specifications suggest that the A3000 will come with 100-16,000 ISO, 230K-dot LCD and a 1.44 million-dot EVF. Website Sony Alpha Rumors also states that it will sport in-body stabilisation and a metal mount.

Read also:

Photographic evidence of Sony A3000 compact system camera appears, allegedly (MSN UK)

Sony Introduces Ultra-Portable NEX-5T Compact System Camera with Wi-Fi ... (HispanicBusiness.com)

Sony Alpha 3000 announced (What Digital Camera (press release))

Explore: 101 additional articles.
