The University of Limpopo in South Africa has signed an agreement with Konica Minolta to overhaul its existing print facilities and management system to better control print environments and reduce costs, as well as increase document security, workflow and mobility.

Konica Minolta South Africa will renovate UL's printing facilities and management system and provide a cashless printing facility, which will be available 24/7 for self-service, and which will offer students different pricing options for printing, scanning, and copying on the same device.

The system offers students the ability to print from anywhere, at any time and from any device, including laptops, iPads and smart phones, while still providing full privacy on the documents that are printed. The system requires an additional PIN code before the print job is activated. This method also provides reliable and accurate when billing the students and offers multiple payment options.

Additionally, Konica Minolta will supply UL with its multifunctional devices (MFDs) in academic and support areas, as well as copying and printing facilities in libraries, student canters, and computer laboratories, which are available to its staff, students and visitors to the university's campuses.
