
<p>Kodak Alaris has announced that it is opening its API to external app providers.</p><p>This means that it will now be possible for app providers to expand their apps, allowing them to connect with Kodak picture koisks all over the world.</p><p>Kodak hope this will allow customers to print their pictures directly from the app that they usually use for picture editing without having to download an additional Kodak app.</p><p>"With a global brand, photo expertise and more than 100,000 touch points at retail locations, Kodak Alaris is in the unique position to create this new marketplace for content owners and retailers", said Darren Johnson, vice president and chief growth officer, Kodak Alaris' Personalized Imaging. "We bridge the gap between digital creativity and physical product and collectively bring exciting new offerings to the end-consumer.
