
<p>MANILA - (UPDATED 10:53 p.m.) The supplier of Japanese printer and projector manufacturers that set up factories in the Philippines is following suit.</p><p>On the sidelines of the 32nd Joint Meeting of the Philippines and Japan Economic Cooperation Committees on Thursday, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines vice president Nobuo Fujii told InterAksyon.com that the company, which is the supplier of several printer and projector makers, has been enticed to invest in the country.</p><p>Another smaller competitor of Brother Industries Ltd and Canon Inc also decided to set up shop in the Philippines, while Konica Minolta will push through with its plan to open a local factory, Fujii said.</p><p>According to Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Inc (SEIPI) president Dan Lachica, Japanese companies usually bring along their suppliers to Manila because of the supply chain problems in the country.
