
<p>The Kountze High School cheerleaders hoisted a Bible banner Friday night with a Scripture quote, a sight that will continue throughout the football season as a legal game of back-and-forth between the girls' attorney and the school district continues to play out in a Hardin County court.</p><p>It was the first home game of the season as the Kountze Lions beat Hull-Daisetta 35-21.</p><p>The American Civil Liberties Union of Texas - along with several other agencies - filed a brief on Sept. 5 with a Hardin County court stating that the banners are unconstitutional.</p><p>Heather L.
