
<p>Collaboration between the city, county and state helped bring a Canon Information Technology Services call center to Albuquerque, says Steve Maestas, chairman of Albuquerque Economic Development.</p><p>Collaboration, and competition, made the new Canon deal a possibility.</p><p>On Monday, Canon Information Technology Services, a division of the international camera and copier company, announced that it would locate a call center in Albuquerque, and hire 150 workers in the next three years.</p><p>"The thing that brought this together was the collaboration between the county, city and state and they were instrumental in bringing this together," said Steve Maestas, chairman of Albuquerque Economic Development. "It was very apparent to Canon. The other thing that I thought was important to Canon was how the business community reached out to them on visits and was interested. Those were things that the Canon representatives shared with me.
