
<p>Olympus seems to be desperate to recover from an accounting fraud scandal, vowing to launch aggressive promotional campaigns for its latest mirrorless cameras in Korea.</p><p>But some market analysts and officials at Olympus' competitors here are say the effects of such updated business plans are overestimated as they believe Olympus has too many pending issues to tackle before seeking a rebound.</p><p>"It appears to be an unattainable goal for Olympus to raise its local share for mirrorless cameras to 20 percent by the end of this year. Only a few people could open their purse to purchase cameras from a company that was hit hard by accounting fraud and misconduct.
